BROADWAY BY THE SEASON IS BACK!

2024 Concerts to Star LISA HOWARD, TOP WOPAT,

KENITA MILLER, CHRISTINE ANDREAS, LISA BRESCIA, WILLIAM MICHALS, DANNY GARDNER, AND MORE!

First Concert on March 25th at 7:30 PM at Merkin Hall

Scott Siegel's BROADWAY BY THE SEASON returns for its second year at Merkin Hall with an All-Star line-up for three Spring concerts: March 25, April 29, and June 17. For the first show, Broadway stars Lisa Howard, Jenny Lee Stern, and song & dance man Danny Gardner will lead a stellar cast celebrating two of Broadway's great seasons.

Act 1 will feature the great songs born on Broadway in the 1931-32 season from shows like The Zeigfeld Follies of 1931, Of Thee I Sing, The Band Wagon, and Face the Music. Act 2 will honor the great songs born on Broadway during the 1942-43 season, including shows such as Oklahoma!, Something for the Boys, This is the Army, and Lady in the Dark. The audience will have the visceral experience of seeing how Broadway music changed in style and content from The Great Depression to the middle of World War 2.

The April 29 and June 17 concerts in the series will continue the musical journey through Broadway history with concerts that will feature seasons from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s with stars to include Christine Andreas, Tom Wopat, Kenita Miller, Lisa Brescia, Maxine Linehan, William Michals, and more!

Broadway by the Season's creator, Scott Siegel, had this to say about the series: "After 21 years of putting on Broadway by the Year at New York's legendary The Town Hall, it is has been great fun to pivot with this new series at Merkin Hall. Broadway's talented stars – singers & dancers – have made this joyful transition with me. Each of last year's shows ended with standing ovations, and we are poised to establish Broadway by the Season as a valuable addition to concert events like City Center's Encores! and the 92nd Street Y's Lyrics and Lyricists. The great legacy of Broadway music will be on full display in our shows this Spring at Merkin Hall!"

Tickets are $90 for orchestra seats and $75 for the balcony in the intimate 450 seat state-of-the-art Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center at 129 West 67th Street.  To purchase tickets call: 212-501-3330. For series subscriptions contact Scott Siegel at SiegelEntertainment@msn.com or call or text 212-365-4345.

Broadway by the Season is sponsored, in part, by The Edythe Kenner Foundation, Pat Cayne, Doris & Ed Cohen, and Tom and Maren Hood.
