Sierra Boggess and Sean Palmer, the stars of Disney’s The Little Mermaid will make their Town Hall debuts with THE BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1954 on Monday, April 7 at 8 pm.  The Town Hall’s critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year® series presents a musical snapshot of 1954, featuring songs and dances from The Pajama Game, Peter Pan, The Boy Friend, Fanny, The Golden Apple, House of Flowers, and more!  Scott Coulter will direct the show with musical direction by Ross Patterson.

This one-night-only concert will also feature a dazzling line-up of Broadway/ Cabaret stars including Emily Skinner (The Full Monty/Side Show), Noah Racey (Curtains), Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu), Kendrick Jones (Encores! Stairway to Paradise), Scott Coulter (The Stephen Schwartz Show) and from Disney’s The Little Mermaid: Sierra Boggess and Sean Palmer.

1954 on Broadway was special because it marked the debut of the composing team of Adler and Ross and their The Pajama Game, the first of many musicals produced by Harold Prince. This was also the year that Julie Andrews made her Broadway debut in The Boy Friend, David Merrick produced his first musical - Harold Rome’s Fanny, and Mary Martin made flying history with her unforgettable Peter Pan.

“This is the first time we’ve had – at the same time – the two leads from a new Broadway show,” said series creator Scott Siegel. “I am thrilled we were able to get both Sierra Boggess and Sean Palmer (Ariel and the Prince) from The Little Mermaid, not just because they are terrific talents but because they are perfect for the material we’re presenting from 1954. They’ll be joining another newcomer to Broadway by the Year®, Cheyenne Jackson, who is currently starring in the smash Broadway hit, Xanadu. Sierra, Sean, and Cheyenne will join Broadway by the Year® much-beloved veterans Emily Skinner, Noah Racey, Kendrick Jones, and Scott Coulter – with Scott Coulter directing. Also featured in the concert will be one of New York’s great young dancers, Melinda Sullivan, who will be dancing with Noah Racey. And I’ve only just started building what I intend to be another all-star cast,” Siegel declared. “In other words, keep an eye out for yet more great names to be added to this list of performers.”

"We're thrilled to present the second show in this, the eighth season of our Broadway By The Year® series," said Lawrence C. Zucker, The Town Hall Executive & Artistic Director. "With such a wide selection to choose from – well known shows, and lesser known-ones, we're sure audiences will have another great night of pure entertainment at The Town Hall."
